To finish the PPP, you must be able to perform 5 different sports at an adequate level. Winning a mug requires you to be fast and efficient in all these events.
Of the PPP events, cross-country skiing and paddling are the most technique heavy sports (well, maybe the downhill leg too but it’s so short that losing more than a minute or two is tough). Poor technique in these two events will cost you huge amounts of time and force you to work harder than necessary. That’s not fun or fast.
At PPP Coach, we know the value of good technique. Marshall Greene has been a professional skier for 6 years but even still, at the beginning of each winter, he spends hours practicing technique drills to ensure that he is as efficient on his skis as possible. While maybe less visible, technique is also very important in paddling. Maximizing the use of the strong, core muscles in your stroke will increase power and reduce the strain on your shoulders and neck.
Private lessons can be arranged for either the cross-country ski leg or the paddle leg and you choose the location. Cost is $40/hr. Please call Marshall @ (541) 350-9671 to schedule an appointment.
